This is a picture of me with the Ohio State University mascot Brutus on my Segway. In the fall of 2008 I decided that it would be a good idea to take out a $5000 loan to buy a Segway. As I found out later, when I ended up in the psych ward, excessive spending is all part of a manic episode. In less than 2 months I spent around $14,000 with credit cards and loans. Let’s just say that at least I was not approved for the $30,000 loan I applied for a few days earlier for a 2004 BMW M3.
